Brancion castle

Brancion, situated between Tournus and Cluny, is the most important stronghold in South Burgundy. The castle was built by the Lords of Brancion between the 10th and 13th century and then by the Dukes of Burgundy in the 1th century. From the tower you have an exceptional overview. The covered marketplace and the Saint-Pierre church, 12th century.

  • March 30 to April 1: Brancion celebrates Easter
  • June 15 and 16: puppet festival
  • July 20 and 21: Great Medieval Festival
  • October 25 to 27: Brancion celebrates Halloween

2024 visits

From April 1 to November 15: every day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (closing at 5 p.m. from October 15).

Last entry 45 minutes before closing.
