Drée castle
The Château de la Bazolle was built on the lands of the same name in the mid-17th century by François de Bonne de Créqui, the third Duke of Lesdiguières.
In 1748, it passed into the hands of Etienne de Drée, and in 1767, the lands of La Bazolle were elevated to a marquisate. The château was then renamed Château de Drée.
In 1837, the property became owned by the Tournon-Simiane family, who built the château’s central portico.
Through inheritance, it later came into the possession of the Princes of Croÿ-Solré of Belgium, who retained it until the death of Gustave de Croÿ-Solré in 1993.
Two years later, the current owner, Mr. Prouvost, acquired the estate and spent nearly ten years restoring and refurnishing it to restore its former splendor.
