Built in the 12th century, the Château de Couches — a medieval fortress — invites you to discover its remarkable buildings.

From the dungeon to the underground passages, the chapel to the justice tower, travel back to the medieval era through our various tours.
Discover the rich history of this iconic tourist site and of Claude de Montagu, chamberlain to the last two Dukes of Burgundy and the castle’s prominent 15th-century lord.

On-site, enjoy the park and gardens, our wine-tasting cellar, family-friendly activities (see our family offers), and our restaurant Le Blason de Vair.
